
Twelve months ago, I launched Automised Energy from Armidale with a simple idea to help Aussies from being ripped off.
Turns out, a lot of people wanted that too.
700+ households have since signed up to Automised Energy. Not one came from paid advertising. Every single person either found us themselves or heard about us from someone who'd already saved money.
We've serviced Aussies in 177 postcodes across NSW. That's rural farms to inner city apartments, and everything in between.
Of everyone who's connected their energy data through us, 29% became paying subscribers. That's the number that means the most to me. It means when people actually try the service, they reckon it's worth paying for.
We've identified hundreds of thousands of dollars of annual savings for Aussie consumers since launch, with the highest savings identified for an individual customer being more than $5,000 per year!
But here's what those numbers don't show: the stress people aren't feeling anymore. The bills they're not confused by. The anxiety their no longer experiencing. The time they're not wasting trying to decode retailer jargon.

We've built what we believe is Australia's most comprehensive and most accurate plan matching service. Anytime rates, time-of-use rates, demand charges, controlled loads, solar feed-in tariffs, tiered rates, concessions, supply charges, membership fees, etc... All the complicated bits that other services (inc comparison services) gloss over or get wrong and all calculated against your actual usage history. Furthermore, we only show you plans that you can actually switch to. We don't leave that for you to work out for yourself.
We've lodged and managed 75+ support tickets with providers to fix their data quality issues. When we spot something wrong, we don't just shrug and move on. We fix it so everyone benefits.
We've been participating in the data standards body that governs how energy data works in Australia. Someone needs to represent what consumers actually need, not just what's easy for retailers.

Accuracy, automation and real value matter more than flashy features.
This is just year one. We've been working on some expansions that I'm genuinely excited about.
